Scholarships/Financial Aid
To apply for federal government financial aid for college, career school, or graduate school, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. You must complete the form to receive need-based grants or scholarships from the government or your college. This is a FREE application. Do NOT use any site that asks for payment.
In addition to the FAFSA form, some colleges have their own financial aid forms and others may require a form called the “CSS Profile.” Make sure you find out what the deadline is to fill out those extra forms.
Families are encouraged to check for state grant/aid eligibility. State governments offer a range of state grants, particularly for students studying in-state at a public university or college.
Scholarship applications and instructions are emailed as they become available to all seniors and their parents (with an active email in SchoolTool). If you are a parent/guardian or simply want a copy of the available scholarships, please email Chris Towsley and/or Kelly Hendrickson.
In addition to the scholarships at Rockland, scholarships are offered by a variety of organizations nationally. More scholarships can be found at fastweb and scholarships.
