Girls soccer heading to regionals; two players up for player of the week
It's a big week for the Rockland girls soccer team. On Saturday, the team will take on Chazy in the regional game in the Class D state tournament. The game will be at 3:30 p.m. at Northeastern Clinton Central High School at 103 State Route 276 in Champlain.
We also have two players in the running for the Varsity 845 Girls Soccer Player of Week for Oct. 18-25 in the small schools division: Alexandra Potosek and Allison Froehlich! Both are multi-time nominees.
Allison was nominated for her goal in the 2-1 victory against Eldred on Oct. 21, while Alex was recognized for setting up the two goals scored against Eldred as well She set up both goals as scoring two goals in the Wolves 5-1 victory against Chapel Field on Oct. 19.
Voting is open through 11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8. You may vote as often as you would like. Let’s show Alex and Allison that the Rockland Central community is behind them. It a wonderful opportunity to recognize our players' hard work, dedication and contributions to our Girls Soccer program.
