Rockland names Class of 2026 co-valedictorians, co-salutatorians

Rockland Central School recently announced its co-valedictorian and co-salutatorian for the Class of 2026
Frances Ball and Robert Eckert are co-valedictorians.
Frances, daughter of Antoinette Schmidt and Dana Ball, is graduating with an overall average of 98.28%. She’s been an active student, participating in Yearbook Club, student government, Junior and National Honor Society, band, chorus, and varsity soccer. She’s a founding Student Ambassador and has acted as a Class Representative from ninth to twelfth grade. Frances currently works at Upward Brewing, and is excited to start her journey at Boston University pursuing a marketing degree.
Robert Eckert, son of Jennifer and Robert Eckert, is graduating with an overall average of 97.27%. Robert has been a consistently active member of Junior and National Honor Society, and served as the Class of 2026’s treasurer his junior year. In his off time, Robert enjoys fishing, reading, hiking, listening to music, cloud watching, and gaming. He is currently employed at Northern Farmhouse Pasta. Robert will be attending SUNY Delhi to major in Cyber Operations Management.
Halie Cheng and Adam Rivera are co-salutatorians.
Halie Cheng, daughter of Connie and Anthony Cheng, is graduating with an overall average of 97.31%. Throughout high school, Halie has participated in Yearbook Club, student government, National Honor Society, band, chorus, and Varsity Soccer. She has served as a Class Representative from ninth to twelfth grade, and a Student Board of Education representative her senior year. Outside of school, she’s worked as a Dance Ambassador, and is currently employed at Upward Brewing Company. Halie will be attending Marywood University to major in Architecture.
Adam Rivera, son of Natasha Bury and Angel Rivera, is graduating with an overall average of 94.83%. Adam has served as the Class of 2026 president as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and also as a Student Board of Education representative. He’s played basketball throughout high school, and football for one year. Outside of school, Adam has played AAU basketball and enjoys playing guitar and piano, photography, and cars. Adam will be attending SUNY Cortland to pursue a degree in business.
