Superintendent search moves forward with first-round interviews
The next step in the search for the next superintendent for Rockland Central School District is now underway.
New York State Leadership Group gathered information from focus groups consisting of students, staff and community members earlier this year to help determine the qualities the next leader of the Rockland Central School District should have.
First round interviews will be held April 13 and 14. The Rockland Board of Education will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Rockland Middle/High School and district office in Livingston Manor for the purpose of entering executive session to interview candidates on those dates. No public business will be held during those meetings.
After identifying a handful of candidates, a second round of interviews will be held April 27-May 1.
This is a confidential search, meaning the names of all candidates will be known only by the board as they go through the hiring process. Only the successful candidate will be named publicly after a signed contract between the parties is completed and board approved.
