Rockland CSD earns $12,000 during Empowering at Healthier Generation event

Rockland Central School's health and wellness initiatives earned the district $12,000 in grants during Sullivan 180's Empowering a Healthier Generation Awards ceremony held Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. Rockland Middle/High School in Livingston Manor was one of four schools taking part in the 2023-25 EHG Competition. Although the Wolves did not win one of the top two awards, the school did receive the $10,000 judge's award for its efforts. The district also earned four Turtle Awards of $500 each: Connection to Nature for the Middle/High School, Nutrition for the district, and two Champion for Wellness Awards for Health and PE teacher Jan LeMyre and the Facilities Team.
